1. What is Litecoin?
Litecoin (LTC) is proposed by Charlie Lee in 2011. It’s a peer-to-peer cryptosystem based on Bitcoin concept, yet with a different algorithm—Scrypt, which prevents against ASIC mining devices.
The average of each transaction confirmation takes about 2.5 minutes and the total issue volume will be 84 million LTC, which is four times as much as BTC. Litecoin shares the same technical concept as Bitcoin; however, its purpose is to amend the flaws of Bitcoin.
